ALn 772 - ALTn 444

The ALn 772 railcar was designed by Officine Meccaniche (OM, Milan) in 1935.

Ordered in 1936, construction was carried out by OM and Fiat Ferroviaria from 1937 to 1957.

Strong impact of the Second World War on the industry between 1943 and 1948.

Services provided from 1940 to 1986 by 327 machines.

• Series 1: (tranche 1) 3201 to 3250 and (tranche 2) 3251 to 3296
• Series 2: (tranche 1) 3301 to 3341 and (tranche 2) 3342 to 3423

The ALn 772.3240 railcar was transformed in 1948 into ALTn 444.3001 to provide the Freccia Aurelia Service between Milan and San Remo.

It was returned to type in 1965 and written off in 1984.
